Gillian & Daniel’s Berkeley Church Wedding Toronto was something magical, but it was the stories, the memories, the legacies that entwined the room together. In the very moment I arrived to meet up with Gillian in the morning, it was so very apparent how connected, welcoming and happy the families were to each other, and to Gillian & Daniel’s friends.
The morning of the wedding, Gillian & Daniel awoke to find that their jeep, packed with the audio/video equipment for the wedding had been stolen. I repeat, STOLEN. From within FEET of their front window. The jeep that Daniel takes off in every year for a couple weeks, phoning Gillian the night before he finds his final destination and books her flight to meet him before they drive home. That was Daniel’s only concern; he lost the Jeep that has been the guardian of travel and memories for them both. They are both avid adventurers, travellers, lovers of the great big world and their stories among their friends and family only strengthened that fact.
I was amazed by the number of people I talked to at the wedding who expressed how selfless and loving Gillian & Daniel are, giving their time, energy and love to their friends and families efforts, regardless of time, distance or schedules. All day Daniel started mentioning a person this way: “Have you met this person? He did this amazing thing… (proceeds to tell a hilarious and or amazing story that a friend at the wedding has done). I made a lot of new friends.
At each and every wedding, my vision is to not only photograph the day in an honest perspective, refusing to repeat what I have done or have seen before, but I also try to ingrain the energy I feel from the day. These wedding photographs have done that beautifully, perfectly.
Take your time looking at this Berkeley Church Wedding Toronto. It was a special day.
