Last year, Rachelle and Jon sent me an email. We were both in the midst of vacations and it took a couple weeks to line-up a date to grab a coffee on The Danforth. Rachelle and Jon have lived in a few cities, but love Toronto and I would like to think it shows. I found out that they are getting married at the same venue I was married at, The Old Mill in the west end this November. Soon after I left on my cross-country road trip, and with plans to keep it city for their engagement session, I think we absolutely nailed it.
Rachelle is a Beauty Editor at Style Canada, and Jon is a big tough guy. Actually, maybe. He looks pretty tough, and his job includes driving a bad ass cargo truck around the city.
Rachelle & Jon are pretty damn hilarious, but what I really love about them is how they can go from kids play fighting to sincere romantics within a split second; Jon especially. Their old mill wedding later this year is going to be a blast; I can’t wait to be back in the place I was married, and photographing these two city lovers in a venue fit for their style.
Unrelated: I really want to steal Jon’s shirt. It’s a good looking shirt. I tried to trade him for some stuff, but no dice. Enjoy this downtown Toronto engagement session!
If you’re thinking of getting married at The Old Mill this year or next year, do not hesitate to contact me! I’m currently taking limited weddings for the rest of 2017, and into 2018. Send me a message, let’s hang out!
